Canoga Park explosion: Firefighters battling blaze at reported marijuana grow operation

LOS ANGELES – At least three people were hospitalized after a major alarm fire ignited at a commercial building in the west San Fernando Valley Monday afternoon, fire officials said. The blaze reportedly erupted at a marijuana grow operation.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Canoga Park just after 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of Canoga Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard.

As of 1:14 p.m., a crew of 150 firefighters was in defensive firefighting operations.

Fire officials said there were explosions “noted from within.”

Video from SkyFOX showed multiple vehicles caught fire as a result of the blaze.

One person was taken to an area hospital for burn injuries sustained in the fire. Authorities added at least two other people were also hospitalized and their conditions were unknown.
