Introduction
CCS-Cobra is a privately held company with its
headquarters in Kungsbacka on the Swedish West Coast.
The company was founded in 1988. At that time CCSCobra
was specializing in the industrial cutting of metals and
other materials using high-powered water jets.
Lars G. Larsson, founder and owner of CCS-Cobra,
realized that the water jet on the other side of the cut
might have other interesting applications. A project was
subsequently started with Räddningsverket (the Swedish
Rescue Services Agency) to investigate and develop a new
and revolutionary tool that utilized both the cutting
and the fire extinguishing capabilities of the
technology. The result was the highly successful Cobra
Cutting Extinguisher. Prototypes of the new product were
ready in 1997 and the first commercial products were
released in 2000.
Today the Cobra is rapidly gaining acceptance by fire
and rescue services in and out of the Swedish home
market. To date it has been sold to 14 countries around
the World. It can be delivered in both a hand lance and
a fixed cage mounted lance version.
CCS-Cobra also has a few other products in the portfolio
based on the same cutting technology.
The Cold Tap is a tool for the safe removal of explosive
gases and liquids during accidents with tankers or
pipelines. The Silo Cutter is a tool for cutting holes
in silos without risking igniting the contents.
The guiding principles
for CCS-Cobra is to develop and provide tools for the
fire and rescue service industry to :

Extinguisher - Hand Lance System
A vehicle equipped with a CCS-Cobra handlance is a
self-contained unit that can be put into service
immediately upon arrival at the scene of an accident or
a fire. It carries its own power supply and water and
with all hoses and tools already connected it is just to
roll out the hand-lance and to get going.
The system can be mounted on a dedicated vehicle, such
as a van, or on a larger fire truck where it will be one
of many tools. It can also be post-fitted onto existing
fire trucks.

Cutting Extinguisher - Cage Lance
The Cage Lance is mounted on a cage and makes it
possible to fight fires on roofs and other hard to reach
and dangerous places while reducing the risk for the
staff involved.

Cold
Tap
 The Cold Tap makes it possible to remove explosive gases
and liquids by cutting a hole in a tank or pipeline with
a water jet and then safely remove the content.
